Breast Reduction

Some women may be unhappy and embarrassed by overly large breasts. They may experience back pain and may also feel obliged to wear baggy clothing to cover up. If you are one of these women, you could benefit both physically and emotionally from having a breast reduction and a lift. A breast reduction is a common procedure that can deliver very satisfying results.

Breast Reduction

During an initial consultation,  Dr Vernon Ching , your  Precision Aesthetics  specialist, will discuss the different options available to you to ensure that you end up with the perfect sized breasts after your breast reduction surgery. As well as reducing the size of your breasts, your breasts can also be lifted so that they are beautiful, firm and complementary to your shape and size. Breast reduction and lift surgery is performed under a general anaesthetic. With breast lift surgery, an incision is made, excess skin is removed and breast tissue is lifted and reshaped using sutures. In a breast reduction, excess tissue and skin are removed to decrease the size of the breast. In some cases, liposuction may also be used to remove excess breast tissue. Changes to the nipple and areola may also be done if necessary. Typically, patients are likely to experience some pain and discomfort for 2-3 days after surgery, but pain medication can relieve this. In most cases, as with common surgical procedures, patients may generally be able to return to work after about a week. Normal daily activities can resume usually within 4-6 weeks but your  Precision Aesthetics  specialist will monitor you closely and advise you of your progress and capabilities.
