Precision Aesthetics offers a variety of laser treatments to address problems like damaged skin, ageing, pigmentation, spider veins and hair removal.
Precision Aesthetics utilizes the Palomar StarLux 500™. The Palomar StarLux 500™ uses both laser technology and intense pulse light (IPL) technology to treat various dermatological conditions. This version can perform almost any aesthetic procedure, from facial vein treatment to skin tightening and many other skin rejuvenation procedures.
All patients are assessed by Dr Ching using the Vectra 3D system to see which laser therapy is most suited to their requirements.
Before treatment, patients need to avoid sun exposure and certain medications such as Roaccutane (vitamin A).
These procedures are generally done under topical local anaesthesia in the rooms. Downtime may vary depending on which laser procedure is performed.
After certain laser treatments are completed, Dr Ching will apply an occlusive dressing to protect the treated tissues, prevent infection and improve healing.
There are several key categories of lasers:
These are the most powerful lasers. They eliminate the epidermis (the top skin layer) and part of your dermis (the second skin layer) by superheating water in the skin. This causes controlled destruction of skin cells; the body reacts by making new, younger-looking skin. As the skin gets tighter, the fine lines are removed, and the wrinkles are softened. Benign skin growths are destroyed, and sunspots are lightened.
Non-ablative lasers are gentler than their ablative counterpart. They work by directing their energy much lower into the deeper tissue, with minimal damage to the top layers of skin.
The fractionated laser delivers heat and light in a pixelated fashion.
They aren’t lasers, nor do they resurface the skin. Instead, they’re a “rejuvenating” therapy
With all the different handpieces, Palomar StarLux 500™ can specifically treat many skin conditions.
The Palomar Starlux 500™ laser platform is indicated for the following:
Depending on which laser treatment was done, results are generally seen from 2-4 weeks
There are two main laser types used for cosmetic purposes: non-ablative and ablative.
Non-ablative lasers work in the deeper skin layers without removing or otherwise damaging the top layers; ablative lasers vaporize the topmost layers of damaged skin. For this reason, you will not have any downtime after a cosmetic procedure using solely non-ablative laser technology.
Different lasers work at different wavelengths of light; each wavelength targets different tissues depending on the light absorption wavelength. Thus, different laser wavelengths target different skin issues. You may need to be treated by several different lasers.
Patients of colour can be treated with laser. Specific laser settings need to be followed to prevent hyperpigmentation of the skin. In certain patients, the skin needs to be prepared by desensitizing the skin. Vitamin A products and Hydroquinone may be needed to down-regulate the Melanocytes responsible for pigmentation before any laser treatments.
iS Clinical innovate clean, multitasking skincare solutions that offer excellent benefits for various skin types, ages, and genders. Result-oriented products work the most magic when combined in a four-step regimen to CLEANSE, TREAT, HYDRATE, and PROTECT your complexion.
