The majority of patients find VelaShape® comfortable and say the treatment feels like a hot stone massage. The treatment settings can be easily adjusted to ensure a comfortable treatment experience. It is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours after your treatment. Some patients report a pinkish appearance in the treatment area that may last a few hours post-treatment, which may last for several hours.

VelaShape® is a non-surgical body contouring technique to achieve fat reduction and skin tightening in a single procedure. VelaShape® III combines infrared (IR), bi-polar radiofrequency (RF) and vacuum to heat tissue up to 3mm and 15 mm in-depth. The combination of vacuum and IR, coupled with RF technologies, causes deep heating of the underlying dermal collagen fibres, the fat cells (adipocytes), and surrounding connective fibrous septae.

Mild, very focused bursts of thermal energy shrink and eventually remove the stubborn fat cells and chambers. The procedure will also help to improve the skin appearance by reducing cellulite. As the fat cells are eliminated, the patient will experience circumferential reduction and restoration of desirable contours.

A local reduction in skin laxity, volume and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture are possible, with an added advantage of treating cellulite.
